Important Info About Your Comments
I’m not a big commenter here on WordPress, but sometimes I do. And with some of you, my comment doesn’t show up on your post. Instead, it ends up in your spam bin, folder, or whatever you call it.
It’s becoming apparent to me that many of you don’t realize this is happening or even know about your spam section.
I’ve learned to check mine weekly, and usually, every week or two, I’ll find your comments sitting in there. Then I simply click “Approve,” and they go to their rightful place.
Also, comments in your spam folder are automatically deleted after a while.
So, if you’ve never checked yours, there’s no telling how many you’ve missed.
There are some of you who occasionally comment on my stuff, and once in a while, I’ll do the same with you, but you never see them because they’re sitting in your spam folder.
So yeah… check your spam. You might be missing more than you realize.
Now you know.
And knowing is half the battle.

No more spam for me. I even stopped the having to approve comments so that all comments would flow through. If I don’t see comments from you I just figure maybe you are busy. I’m always here. Not going anywhere. I never miss one of your posts from day one!
Thank you my awesome friend! ❤️😊

Yeah you and me talked about this but there’s others on here, that I’m realizing it goes to their spam and they are unaware and I know some have it set where all comments have to be approved. My Girlfriend has hers set like that. I have mine with a spam filter plug-in that filters out some of them but I have it where anyone can comment, not just people on WordPress.
And thanks so much. You’re a great friend too and likewise, I never miss what you’re puttin’ down 😎

But… with my theme. Even before I started using the plug-in filter. I had all comments set to approve automatically and some still end up in spam bin. So it’s still a good Idea to check it weekly regardless

What’s funny though is that my spam folder disappeared. Does that happen when you change your settings to no approvals?

Oh maybe it’s different depending on what theme your using… I bet this is the case. I’ll comment you later after I eat dinner and we’ll see if you get it.

Oh, this is such an important reminder! 😊 I’ve learned that WordPress spam folders can sometimes be surprisingly efficient at hiding perfectly genuine comments.
It’s so frustrating to think that someone may have taken the time to leave a thoughtful comment, only for it to disappear unnoticed into spam. Checking the spam folder regularly is definitely worth adding to our blogging routine.

Yes indeed it’s frustrating and I’ve left some of those thoughtful ones for people and they never got them. So just though I’d mention it and maybe it will help someone figure it out.
Thanks brother. Hope your enjoying retirement 😎
