Clumsy… 1997… from the album Clumsy…

Just some cool info… they took their name from the novel The End of Alice by A.M. Homes…
It’s meant to feel poetic and symbolic rather than religious — a phrase that sounds gentle but carries weight..

Also.. they have many platinum albums.. and Frontman Raine Maida is known for.. writing lyrics inspired by psychology.. philosophy.. and literature.. Leaving meanings intentionally open — many songs feel emotional first.. literal second
That’s why tracks like Clumsy still hit even if you can’t fully explain them… hope you enjoy…

Our Lady Peace 🎶 4am 🎶 Supermans Dead…

Hey y’all… welcome…
So we’ve got two songs today — and as a bonus.. a live cut too… that’s always a good day 😎

“4am” and “Superman’s Dead” both debuted in 1997 on the album Clumsy..
This entire record affected me deeply… it moved me.. I spent hours alone in my room back then.. learning all these songs on my guitar… great times..

Also… the lead singer of Our Lady Peace has one of the most unique voices — and names — in music…
His name is Raine Maida… pronounced Rain 🌧 MAY-duh…

So anyways… here ya go…

Hidden Gems Is More Than Music 💎👀

Most people think Hidden Gems From The B-Side is just a music series
And yes… it is
But it’s also much deeper than that
It’s how I’ve learned to see the world

I’ve always been drawn to what’s overlooked
The quiet songs
The forgotten roads
The voices that never make the charts but carry the most weight
While the world chases what’s loud fast and trending…
I find myself searching for what’s hidden unpopular and unknown
Not because it’s obscure
But because it’s honest
And it means something to me…

In every area of life I’ve become this way…
No matter what it is…
I’m always searching and digging for hidden beauty…
I don’t ride the norm wagons…
If I can help it…

I’m this way with people too…
However… I love everyone 😁…
But the popular prom queen cheerleader girl…

Hey yall… Happy Sunday..
These next guys are one of my all-time favorites.. So many great songs.. So much depth.. They can rock hard or be gentle on the ears—and they do both beautifully…

They’re from Portland.. Oregon.. formed in 1999.. and started as a campus worship band..

They’re known as Kutless… and yeah—they’re bad#ss for Jesus 😎😁

I’ve got two songs for you today..
“All The Words” and “Shut Me Out..”

I didn’t even realize this until now.. but both of these songs pretty much describe my blog.. Even my tagline comes straight from the lyrics of “All The Words…”
And fun fact—that song was featured on an episode of Scrubs back in the day…

3 little girls from Mexico that are keeping Rock alive!🖤🤟💯💣💥

I’ve been following these 3 sisters since they were little tiny things.. I knew they were special.. and I knew they’d be famous one day if they chose.. but I never thought they’d be such a power force in rock music today.. keeping it alive lol.. wasn’t expecting that 😁… they are special.. I’ve been behind them from the beginning.. watching and rooting.. well played ladies.. Rock On.. 💣💥💯🤟🎶 (also Paulina and Jen from Skillet are my two favorite lady drummers..)

Hey yall.. so this is Our Lady Peace.. some of you older folks are probably familiar with them.. they are Canadian.. but we still love them.. they formed in 1992.. they are a favorite of mine.. and so many great songs.. I have two for you now.. “innocent” was released in 2oO2 on the album Gravity.. and the other is “Starseed” from their 1994 debut album.. Naveed.. I also found a cool as heck.. Beavis and Butthead video gem.. with the song Starseed in it.. haha.. made me laugh.. hope yall enjoy.. thinking of you today… `.°~

This last song is called “Better Way”… and it’s maybe my favorite from them — it just really speaks to me… lyrically and musically…
It’s definitely a hidden gem… not as known as some of their other songs…
