Outlaw Roots — The Hank Jr. Legacy (Week 11)

Dinosaur 🎶 All In Alabama

Sup yall… got two of my favorites for you today…

If I was ever forced to make a top 10 list of Hank songs… both of these are on it—no question.

I’ve played ’em hundreds of times over the years…
for myself… when no one was around…
and for plenty of others along the way…

And honestly… it’s been a little while…

So I think I’m gonna grab my guitar later…
sit back… and run ‘em both again…

Just me… the strings… and that old feeling…

But for now… let me quit talkin’…

and let’s get this thing goin’… ♩♪

Hope yall have a great weekend…
and don’t be like Hank and go fallin’ off the side of any mountains 😄♩♪

    1. Oooo yeah that’s right! It’s that time of year… my team never makes it… so I have to usually find me a Cinderella to pull for as everything starts to unfold… thanks for being a loyal listener… enjoy the game… : )

      4. I went to a Catholic College in NY – College of Saint Rose. We had sports but they didn’t compete in higher divisions until way after I left. The college is gone now so that’s over anyway!

Hofstra lost. St John’s on now…it was at 7. We got that wrong.

  1. Now that’s a vibe…
There’s something timeless about going back to songs that have lived with you
not just heard, but felt over the years.
“Just me… the strings… and that old feeling…”
yeah, that right there is where music becomes memory.
Hope the guitar session hits just right… and brings a little Alabama soul with it. 😄♩♪

    1. So true man… and the songs hit differently when they are lived… and the guitar session was great… I’m just getting back to playing again past few weeks… it’s been great… I took a break from the guitar for 3 years… thank you for checking them out

    1. Haha wow man! What a cool story!.. I’ve seen Hank in concert a few times… but never met him… funny you mention Kid Rock though… I used to have a semi famous friend… he’s a well known music producer… I haven’t spoken with him since like 2o08… but my roommate at the time and I were on the phone with him… while he was riding around in a limo with Kid Rock and Pam Anderson… I could hear Kid in the background talking… you’re story is much much better than mine 😁… that’s so cool… thanks for sharing 👍
