🎙️Sunday Songs From the Bathroom #11

🎧 Covers from Lauren Daigle • Tenth Avenue North

I woke this morning with the blues… the Sunday blues, to be more exact.

I was reminded of Kris Kristofferson’s “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” and for a moment I could feel myself walking that lonely sidewalk. I could almost smell the fried chicken.

Then my heart turned to others.

So I decided to forget myself, pray for those whose blue is a much darker shade than my own… and maybe even try on their shoes for a little while in my head.

So about these songs…

For the Lauren Daigle song “Still Rolling Stones,” I decided to amp it up a bit with the guitar lick. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to play it, and I just thought I’d do it a little differently.

And “Worn” by Tenth Avenue North was actually the very first song from the bathroom that I ever posted. I hid it inside another post though, so it was easy to miss. I thought I’d share it again.

Hope yall have a blessed day.

  1. Praying for others is the key. What a treasure you have…that picture and message is priceless. Great encouragement from your Grandmother on the back of that picture. Thank you for sharing. Hugs and blessings I enjoyed the songs. 🙏

    1. Indeed it is, prayer I mean. That’s actually my great grandmother. She was a wonderful Christian lady… she played piano and sang beautifully… this picture sat hidden away in a box for many years. No one knew anything was written on the back and I happened to find it one day… it really touched me when I read it. She passed away back in the early 90s. Thank so much. I’m glad you enjoyed the songs 🙏… blessings to you.
