🎧 Covers from Lauren Daigle • Tenth Avenue North
I woke this morning with the blues… the Sunday blues, to be more exact.
I was reminded of Kris Kristofferson’s “Sunday Morning Coming Down,” and for a moment I could feel myself walking that lonely sidewalk. I could almost smell the fried chicken.
Then my heart turned to others.
So I decided to forget myself, pray for those whose blue is a much darker shade than my own… and maybe even try on their shoes for a little while in my head.
So about these songs…
For the Lauren Daigle song “Still Rolling Stones,” I decided to amp it up a bit with the guitar lick. This is the first time I’ve ever tried to play it, and I just thought I’d do it a little differently.
And “Worn” by Tenth Avenue North was actually the very first song from the bathroom that I ever posted. I hid it inside another post though, so it was easy to miss. I thought I’d share it again.
Hope yall have a blessed day.

Praying for others is the key. What a treasure you have…that picture and message is priceless. Great encouragement from your Grandmother on the back of that picture. Thank you for sharing. Hugs and blessings I enjoyed the songs. 🙏

Indeed it is, prayer I mean. That’s actually my great grandmother. She was a wonderful Christian lady… she played piano and sang beautifully… this picture sat hidden away in a box for many years. No one knew anything was written on the back and I happened to find it one day… it really touched me when I read it. She passed away back in the early 90s. Thank so much. I’m glad you enjoyed the songs 🙏… blessings to you.

LOVE! I listen to “Worn“ first as I apparently missed it the first time around. Absolutely loved it. The first is always great. Anything by Lauren always is. Loved your extra kick there!
Happy Sunday my friend. Sending good vibes your way. 💪🏼

Haha… I love raw oysters. I’m not a big clam fan but mainly cuz I haven’t tried them but a few times and you don’t see them as much here in the south

“for those whose blue is a much darker shade”… made me think of “Different Shades of Blue” by: Joe Bonamassa. Hope your blue is lighter than it was on Sunday. Enjoyed your music – both songs- I don’t think I’ve heard them before. Haven’t heard “Sunday Morning Coming Down” in a long while! Not sure if I’ll pull it up or not.
