One Take From the Bathroom🎙The Man Who Couldn’t Cry

I’ve had this song on my mind all day. “The Man Who Couldn’t Cry” written by Louden Wainwright III in 1973—the year I was born—and later recorded by Johnny Cash in 1994.

So I listened to it a few times this morning. Then, while I was making dinner tonight, I put on my headphones and had it on repeat for about an hour nonstop.

After dinner, I went into the studio… aka the Bathroom. 🚻😛 I tried it for the first time, and this is the result.

    1. Thank you. Appreciate that. Oh wow, I lived in Nashville too for a lil while back in 1999. I took a job there with a trucking company. Oh John Prine is the man! 😎 I love Steve Earle also, I was just listening to him a few days ago. Thanks for sharing.

It was Marianne Faithfull who got me into country in the late 70″s ,she played me Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson.I worked for Marianne at her record label in the late 70’s before going to work at Swan Song in London for Led Zeppelin during the Knebworth period.I used to see Jimmy and Robert many times at the office.Of course later Robert did an amazing album with Alison Krauss.
