    1. Hey Mike. I’m doing good thanks. I hope you’re enjoying the weekend. Yeah there’s two families of possums that come to eat on my back porch. Sometimes the baby ones also. They are used to me now. I can walk out there while they are eating and most times they will just continue eating while I’m standing there. That one pic of the cat and possum together, the possum was trying to eat at the same time the cat was, and the cat just kept popping it in the head every time it would try. So eventually it stopped trying and just sat there waiting for its turn haha

      1. oh man these little guys are so cool! we have a pack of them over here and i make sure they feel welcome. they go a long way towards controlling the really weird insect population, snakes and the mice!

      2. Yeah they for sure control the snakes and mice and other things. I used to think they were a nuisance or whatever. But they are really chill and gentle from what I can tell. And supposedly it’s extremely rare for them to get rabies. When I was a teenager, my friend had one cornered and went to grab it and the possum fell over and played dead lol. My girlfriend had a pet possum when she was a kid and she said it would hang from its tail on her arm lol.

    1. Lol yep. The mama cat is a stray in our neighborhood and she’s been hanging out in our rescue room for months now. We had her spayed recently. And the 3 boy kittens were neutered a few days ago and have already moved on to be adopted and the 2 females are at the vet today getting spayed.

  1. Great collection of pictures. I spied a black and white composition book…I use them exclusively, they are my favorite. 📓

    1. Thank you! Yeah I love those also. I use it to write lyrics for new songs I learn or the occasional old one where I forget some of the words and to jot down guitar tablature and other things. I just bought another. The one in the pic is almost full lol

  2. I wondered how the cats and possums would get on together. A bit like foxes and cats, mutual respect most of the time.

  3. Terrific! A study in black and white (mostly) for the cats. And I’m glad you had some (other) sources of pleasure for yourself. Happy Hallowe’en and, well, Cat-o-ween (Possum-o-ween?)!

  4. Love your pictures my friend! Except the one of the possum. Ugh – they freak me out! Question – who crocheted that fabulous blanket in one of the shots??

    1. Thank you. I used to feel the same about possums but they aren’t so bad once you get to know them haha

I think one of my mama’s friends did the blanket. She has a few cool crochet pieces. This is her house. I moved in with her back in February to help her out some. She’s getting older and has some health issues. I’ll probably be here for another year.

      1. That’s kind of you to say. Thank you. Yeah she was in the hospital a few weeks ago with kidney failure but she’s doing much better now.
